I thought I’d re blog a few favourite postings I had. Enjoy!

Life Is One Big Stage

First and foremost I must thank George for being the inspiration to this blog piece today. You see, we can talk about anything and everything under the sun. We can agree to disagree about something and yet always find some middle ground to move forward on how we address issues. He does the filing and stuff. I hate those. I clean and wash floors. He does laundry. I wash dishes. He puts them away. I cook. He sets the table. We go shopping. He carries the bags without me asking. We came back home from work. He gives me foot rubs. I iron his work shirt. He makes me coffee. Oh. He cooks too. I pick movies, he gets that going by booking online. We cross the road, he automatically reaches out for my hand. I got introduced to his friends and colleagues.

Each and every night, he would tell…

A To Zen Of Life

Avoid negative sources, people, places and habits.
Believe in yourself.
Consider things from every angle.
Don’t give up and don’t give in.
Everything you’re looking for lies behind the mask you wear.
Family and friends are hidden treasures, seek them and enjoy their riches.
Give more than you planned to.
Hang onto your dreams.
If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
Keep trying no matter how hard it seems.
Love yourself.
Make it happen.
Never lie, steal or cheat.
Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.
Practice makes perfect.
Quality not quantity in anything you do.
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
Stop procrastinating.
Take control of your own destiny.
Understand yourself in order to better understand others.
Visualize it.
When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
Xcellence in all your efforts.
You are unique, nothing can replace you.
Zero in on your target, and go for it.

Athena Is Not Home Yet

It has been more than two weeks since we saw Athena at home. She has gone missing after one of her daily walks.

And I miss her terribly. The family misses her too.

Origami Condom

I haven’t the faintest idea how a condom could be an origami. But that was what it was – origami condom.

Apparently, some dudes named Daniel Resnic and Ray Chavez had created this revolutionary condom from silicone instead of latex. Most probably a God-sent creation to those who experience allergy to latex, I found this new creation intriguing. Interestingly, they created not one, not two but THREE types of condom namely for male, female and (check this out…) receptive anal intercourse condom(?). Really?

Check out the video link and article here.

The site’s link is here.

This reminds me of an ex contract employee who worked for my company in the hospitality division. She was great at what she did. She trained the junior crew in table setting and all that. But, she was also allergy to latex so that when certain food prep had to be done, she had to use plastic gloves instead.

The one thing good about this is that, I told her, that this condition was a way to be celibate until she get married….hehe…

Now, I wonder how much would this origami condom cost in the market…….wait…I have another question…..would they rig my idea and produce curry-flavoured condom?

Wait, I have ANOTHER question…do they send samples…?

George’s Birthday

His birthday was over about a couple of weeks ago and I have been meaning to post some pictures. Kept on putting it off until tonight.

His birthday fell on a Monday and so it was not such a perfect day to do any gathering due to it being a work day. And so, I planned for a surprise cake cutting for him. It so happened that on 3rd March, a Sunday, the association that I am with had planned for a small gathering at a spot near their office. I thought it would serve as a fantastic opportunity to have the group celebrating his birthday with him.

Birthday Boy

The thing is, his birthday celebration did not end on that Sunday. It got carried to Monday too.

Emi, Jaja and Che Mad, Emi’s bf had agreed to meet up with us at George’s favourite banana leaf rice restaurant on Monday evening for a REAL birthday dinner. Nothing beats being different than celebrating your birthday at a banana leaf rice restaurant.

And so, on Monday evening we all gathered at Sri Nirvana, Bangsar.

Check out that huge grin on his face!

Our dishes….we had chicken, lamb, fish and plenty of vegetable.

With his birthday gift!

We got home for some coffee and another round of cake cutting. These are the “kids” busy snapping pictures. (L) Jaja, Emi and Che Mad.

Happy birthday, my darling!

This Is My City – At Dusk

Taken around 6.30pm yesterday as we were driving along the elevated Jalan Tun Razak heading home. My favourite time of the day when the light of day is about to meet the darkness of the night.

From this angle, you can see the iconic Kuala Lumpur Tower and the Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers.

Photo0287The sun was about to set beneath the zenith and soon it will be dark. The world will go to sleep and heal itself from the day’s work. At least, to my mind, that’s how it works.
